Dandân but Codex Shredder?! Try This Variant by SweetManaT

The creativity in Dandân, or rather, the one-vs-one shared-deck format, continues to impress. SweetManaT, a Lantern Control lover, reached out to say, "In theory, I think it’d be fun," and I fully agree.

Leaning even further into the shared deck aspect of the format, it is Shredder's primary focus.

At first glance, I thought the Narcomoebas were unnecessary for what the deck aims to do, but adding a subtle clock as a distraction from the focal point can create some increasing dynamic tension that changes what matters on top of the deck.

Do you respect the clock on board and draw Electrickery or disregard the battlefield to fight over opposing Codex Shredders?

No Lantern of Insight

Although SweetManaT is a Lantern enjoyer, no Lantern of Insight is present in the current list, nor is there any static effect that reveals the top of the library.

So unlike classic Lantern Control, Shredder does not aim for a game of perfect information but rather the asymmetry of unknown information. That might seem like a description of every Magic format, except when players share a library.

SweetManaT might chime in on their process for creating this decklist to explain card choices and the like. I'll update this article if they do.
