Secrets of Strixhaven is the penultimate in-universe Magic: The Gathering set of 2026. It releases worldwide on April 24 and is flush with hitters for the Legacy format. Though Erode is a decade-long-needed removal spell to contend with the card type planeswalker, the most impactful spell from the set for Legacy will undoubtedly be Flow State. Here's why:
Flow State
Flow State is the obvious frontrunner for most impactful spell for Legacy out of Secrets of Strixhaven, not due to its effect being novel, but rather the opposite.
Deemed the second coming of the Legacy-banned Expressive Iteration, "drawing" two cards for two mana, or any one- or two-mana spell that generates card advantage, has always broken the Daze/Wasteland tempo shell to necessitate a ban. In addition to Expressive Iteration, Dreadhorde Arcanist, Wrenn and Six, Psychic Frog, and Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer all caught the hammer to maintain the format compression of Daze and Wasteland.
Legalese
"Drawing" is in quotations because much of Flow State's inevitable viability is due to not explicitly "drawing" cards but rather putting cards into hand, a trite but necessary wording workaround for viability in a format guardrailed by Orcish Bowmaster.

Unlike Expressive Iteration, whose primary home was UR Delver, Flow State is splashable in any blue deck playing the cantrip and free countermagic suite of Brainstorm, Ponder, and Force of Will (i.e., all blue decks). Additionally, Flow State is castable off the aforementioned Wasteland, which Expressive Iteration wasn't, a power bump that shouldn't be understated.

But...Conditions!
Some in the Legacy community have shown unease at {Flow State's potency in the early game due to its requirement of an instant card and a sorcery card in the graveyard for maximum effect, but it echoes the sentiment of those who were tentative about the potential of Treasure Cruise before its release and eventual dominance.
Blue decks in Legacy have never struggled to fill their graveyard with instants and sorceries. The condition Flow State requests of players is to take the game actions they would have already endeavored to make, regardless of Flow State's existence.

Some players might add a Preordain or a Lorien Revealed to increase their sorcery count, but the card flow that Flow State provides will ensure any such deckbuilding concession is heavily rewarded.
Enter the Flow State
Personally, I welcome Flow State to Legacy. Given the alternative options currently legal in the format for snowballing cards, including The One Ring, Up the Beanstalk, and Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student, it is unlikely Expressive Iteration would be banned if released today, rather than when it was alongside Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer or competing against the only other competitive deck of that era, Initative featuring White Plume Adventurer.

Of course, Flow State will improve the overall power of the Daze/Wasteland shell, but it will also offer non-Ancient Tomb, non-Daze decks what Stock Up seemed to initially inspire: a card advantage spell that is not punished by Orcish Bowmaster that offers selection to help unburden removal against the sea of various powercrept threats.
