Parallax Replenish by Lan D. Ho

Following the Parallax Tide on Jan. 18, 2026, the death of Replenish as a top-tier archetype in Premodern was greatly exaggerated. Fortunately, it enshrined a tweet by Michael J. Flores into the pantheon of all-timers.

The players dedicated to recurring the enchantments out of their graveyard found a new path for the archetype by adopting Decree of Silence and leaning harder on Exalted Angel.

While the Mono Parallax Tide decks disappeared with their namesake, Replenish evolved. Not having to compete against opposing Parallax Tides was also a boon.

Replenish won the 2026 Premodern North American Championship at LobsterCon in the hands of Brian Siu. Lan D. Ho joined Eternal Durdles to break down how the deck has evolved since that tournament, where he ranked 33rd playing a Replenish list only a single card off the runner-up list:

Parallax Wave and Opalescence on the battlefield at the same time can remove every creature and enchantment forever. This is due to the separate trigger on Parallax Wave.

Holding priority, remove counters from Parallax Wave to exile other creatures (enchantments are also creatures with Opalescence in play) and then target the Parallax Wave itself with its final counter. It will return to the battlefield, effectively flickering itself, and the remaining activations on the stack will no longer have the separate trigger to return them to the battlefield, and, therefore, remain permanently exiled.

This is also a way to protect your Parallax Wave and Opalescence from removal. As Lan D. Ho mentioned in the video, be wary of Stifle from Phyrexian Dreadnought opponents, which could prevent the Parallax Wave from returning from its own trigger.

Nevinyrral's Disk in the sideboard was designed to contend with Gloom in strategies. While not quite as strong as Wrath of God against go-wide strategies like Goblins, Nevinyrral's Disk's activation at instant-speed helps against most strategies.

Day Two of LobsterCon 2026 was open decklist, meaning players were given their opponent's decklists before each match. This is an attempt to remove scouting throughout Day One as a means to gain an advantage and open up strategic choices, including why Lan D. Ho featured the playset of Meddling Mage in the maindeck, which becomes significantly more powerful when you know the opponents' 75s before each match begins.
