On Aug. 16, 2026, the first Peak Legacy paper event took place in New York City. Ten players came to battle.
The vibes were immaculate, and the meta was diverse, with eight different archetypes featured in the proxy-friendly format:
Two Death & Taxes
Different flavors: one featured Leonin Arbiter + Ghost Quarter, the other packed Serra Avenger and Mangara of Corondor.
Two Lands
Different flavors: one featured Mulch instead of Gamble to fuel Life from the Loam and Punishing Fire.
Grixis Delver
Standout misers in Stormchaser Mage and Bedlam Reveler
Grixis Control
Kolaghan's Command + Snapcaster Mage lovers rejoice.
Dark Maverick
Deathrite Shaman is alive and well.
Miracles
Sensei's Divining Top is alive and well.
Infect
Gitaxian Probe is alive and well.
Goblin Stompy
Actual, factual Moggcatcher, LFG.
Grixis Control featuring Tasigur, the Golden Fang went undefeated to take home the prize: an altered set of Young Pyromancer.
