Seraph rebounded many players’ faith in by leading Archimago to a seventh-place finish, which he stated on Reddit could have been an even stronger performance with sharper play:
“My losses were probably winnable, but I made site placement errors…with more reps…a Top4 or outright win would have been achievable.”
—Seraph on Reddit
To achieve that, though, Seraph would have needed to topple Sorcery: Contested Realm’s (SCR) current big bad: Necromancer.
A standout from this decklist is the inclusion of two Panpipes of Pnom, which gave a boost to frogs in a recent Codex update. Now, the Panpipes of Pnom do increase the damage output dealt by frogs despite the frogs attacking without any base power.
The deck is nearly 70% . The inclusion is primarily for the Collection, where comprises eight of 10 slots. The in the mainboard is for haymakers who can swing games.
Bane of Aventis is one of the swingier Uniques from Gothic
Draconian Bonekite is a bomb
The Doom of Dilmun is as sticky as they get
Daperyll Vampire is so splashable it might as well be free
Browse and Grapple Shot are proven bangers since the game’s inception
Since the draw of a singleton Lone Tower, Gothic Tower, and Dark Tower are already so high, the leap to including the busted Wuthering Heights and consistency-magnet Observatory feels natural.
Moving into is not without its concessions, though. The most noticeable absence is Mesmerism. is unlikely to happen until the deep late game, though the powerlevel of Mesmerism might be worth that Gamble. A third Deep Sea could be enough of a shift to support what might be the most broken Magic out there.
